Sportsnet Announces 2023-24 National NHL Broadcast Schedule

– Canada’s home of hockey, Sportsnet to deliver 155+ national matchups, every NHL special event and 190+ regional games this coming NHL season –

 

June 27, 2023 – Entering its 10th season as Canada’s exclusive English-language broadcaster of the NHL, Sportsnet today unveiled its 2023-24 national NHL broadcast schedule. Returning to Canadian screens this October, Sportsnet is set to deliver 155+ national matchups throughout the regular season, bolstered by the network’s three marquee broadcast nights: Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey, Rogers Monday Night Hockey, and the celebrated national tradition of Hockey Night in Canada. Complementing the network’s national broadcast nights, Sportsnet will also air more than 190+ regional matchups next season as the official regional TV and streaming broadcast partner of the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs. Sportsnet’s regional schedule details will be announced at a later date.

Key highlights of the national NHL broadcast schedule on Sportsnet include:

Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey – Wednesdays

  • Marking the start of the 2023-24 regular season, the mid-week broadcast debuts October 11 with four games featuring all seven Canadian teams in action: Montreal vs. Toronto, Ottawa vs. Carolina, Winnipeg vs. Calgary and Edmonton vs. Vancouver
  • From October to April, Sportsnet will deliver 31 Wednesday night national matchups.

Hockey Night in Canada – Saturdays

  • The Canadian tradition continues on Saturday nights starting October 14, with five Canadian teams hitting the ice across four can’t-miss matchups
  • Sportsnet will serve up 100 Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts throughout the regular season
  • PLUS – Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada returns January 20 for its 24th season, complete with an all-Canadian hockey broadcast marathon and a family-friendly celebration hosted in the heart of Victoria, BC.

Rogers Monday Night Hockey – Mondays

  • Returning to Canadian screens for its second season, the national Monday night broadcast premieres October 16 with an Original Six showdown between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks
  • Monday nights will be home to 27 national broadcasts, each featuring a Canadian team in action

In addition to regular season action across the network’s TV and streaming platforms, Sportsnet will also be the exclusive national broadcaster of the following NHL special events:

  • 2023 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic (Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton) October 29
  • 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic (T-Mobile Park, Seattle) – January 1
  • 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend (Scotiabank Arena, Toronto)
    • February 2 – 2024 NHL All-Star Skills presented by DraftKings
    • February 3 – 2024 Rogers NHL All-Star Game
  • 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series (MetLife Stadium, New Jersey) – February 17
  • 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs & 2024 Stanley Cup Final
